Yeah it did look pretty sweet, but I wonder if you can wear them over your armor just for that extra cool factor. It also might be character specific though.

It's part of his outfit, not a separate piece.

It looks really cool!

I'd love to be able to equip clothing over my armour, that was a great feature in Morrowind. I always felt a bit weird wandering around a town dressed in full daedric, so it was nice to be able to cover it up with a robe.

You never know though. Morrowind and Daggerfall had separate parts for the cloaks/robes, it may be very likely (and realistic and cool looking) that you could wear armor and put a furry robe over it. Very Skyrim-y.

Grasping at straws and denial, actually. Stormcloak armor has a cloak as part of it, and officers' Imperial armor has a cape as well. We have no reason at all to believe that the Jarl's cloak will be a special exception.

Neither did I. It has already been confirmed that there will be no capes with proper physics.

No, it is not. They are removing equipment slots for performance, it's the reason for which cuirass and legs were merged. It's just not going to happen.

Agreed. I liked to hide my armor from NPCs.

Edit: Which explains why I liked the veteran ranger coat in NV.

I think his cloak would look better on me. In fact I would look better sitting on that throne of his.

Yeah, it's most likely that all 'body' meshes will be one solid mesh. Modders/Modellers can split them, but it remains to be seen how the item slots are coded. Independent cloaks would make sense in Skyrim, and I hope they can be added, but I doubt we will see any physics on them.
