"What If"

What would u ppl think if SD had done a last second change in plan or planned releasing Brink from the very beginning as an indie game?
Would u hav been less disappointed?
Would it had been less hampered by the media?
Do u think this game should have been on xbl and psn as DLC ( & steam which is already DLC )?
Plus just think, SD might have been able to release more DLC that could totally redesign every thing if they very well chose to. With 1 simple download instead of pilling layer after layer of little patches and fixes, filled with little errors that can only be fixed by u guessed it, little patches and fixes.
IDK maybe I'm just speaking out of my ass here but what do u think?

indy and arcade games really aren't taken too seriously... so it might have taken away from some of the disasterous release but all in all i think it would have made the game a little less... and as for patches and dlc coming quicker that wouldn't necessarily happen... take blacklight tango down for instance... only one patch for xbox and PC and none for PS3... mainly because of the publisher (ignition entertainment) ... there was also no DLC... this caused zombie to drop ignition and actually hurt the game in general...

for a downladable title to be successful it really needs the backing of its publisher... and since downloadable games generally fall out pretty quick most publishers dont want to expend the effort or money to support them... which is sad because there are some pretty neat games out there that never get support...

i liked the demo of that game but never got it due to money issues =) (more like the wife saying we couldn't afford a 15 dollar game but she could get her 30$ mani/pedi) ... i liked the DotA style mechanics and how they adapted it to a shooter... and to say i was a fan of it in some way shape or form is actually a big thing since i dont really like third person shooters...

but yes... i'm sure its another example of a game that could have been bigger as a full release title with full publisher support... arcade games just dont get the hype that full games get...
