Paladin class

Hey guys and girls! I dont know if this is thread worthy, but i would want some advices. So im thinking that i want to make Paladin type of character. I would really like to use Breton becouse of the magic resistance, but is it too weak to be a warrior? I would certainly use two-handed weapons, restoration, heavy armor and speech. What else would you recommend? Im really waiting for Skyrim. Im huge fan of Fallout games and most others fantasy RPG games, but for some reason never really got into oblivion. I have done the mainquest in oblivion, but im quite new and newbish to Elder Scrolls games. Thanks!

Imperial would be the best Palidin character based upon their starting ability in speech and weapons (release sometime ago but forgot what the exact skills). You will feel right a home joining the imperial legion.

Well first off, to get into Oblivion is to just Screw the main quest and do what you want :D
and yeah either Breton or Imperial are good Paladins, even though it could be any race you want.
Even a Khajiit Paladin would work, not respected but does good deeds anyway :D

heavy armor
2handers or 1h and shield
resto
speechcraft
(smithing?)

that'll about do it, specializing in a couple things will make you better overall. For race, it doesn't matter, but I'd recommend Imperial, Orc, Redguard or even Breton like you said would be ok.
