Freezing every two seconds : Othor Games

Hey guys-

Adding to the litany of "Oh god, why can't I play RAGE" on here, I've got an issue beyond the ugly texture popping. Once I got out of the ARK, the game began freezing like it had to load literally every two seconds. My rig isn't bleeding edge, but it's pretty top of the line and I've never had a problem running a game before. Is this a common thing right now, or is there something up with my rig?

Installed the Beta drivers. Fixed the issue in the Wasteland and the first Settlement. The issue returned in the Ghost Hideout.

I wanted to play this game before work today. *sigh*

I have the same issue. I run crysis and tf2 in max settings with no issues, and have raided in wow at max settings with over 120FPS. Even with anti off in rage im getting "glitching" or "freezing" every 2-5 seconds. Like the games loading. Its pretty unplayable.

I also updated the drivers and reverted. Same difference.

PC Specs:

I7 970 3.2GHz
12GB DDR 3
ATI 6950 1GB x 2
SSD
Windows 7 - 64bit

I have the exact same problem. If my view doesn't change then it doesn't lock up.

Same here, I have never had any trouble playing any top of the line game until now. I was one of those people waiting to play rage, counting the days and [censored]. Ugh. So after being completely and utterly disappointed yesterday night I finally get the new driver and the game won't stay running for more than 3 minutes. I run a race, win. Go to race again rage freezes and I have to quit. Jump back on try this time I get into the race, win, gonna move onto the next one, freeze. I have literally had this thing freeze and go unresponsive once every six minutes about 5 times in a row.

Why... Why am I not allowed to play?

Yep, my problem is exaclty the same! Have new drivers, set Rage.exe to High priority, launched with recommended cvars..etc etc...still broken. What pisses me off is that they are still saying...Hey get the Drivers, problem is fixed!
