Thank you "letter" for making Elder Scrolls Online c

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 12:06 am

I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us.
I just want to express myself as a fan of The Elder Scrolls that I'm very happy that you guys decided to make The Elder Scrolls Online. Thank you!

Also, if this game is set in a world that is beautiful, vivid, fantasy-looking, well.. I will be forever happy and as far as I've seen ... It looks exactly like what I hoped for, love it! Thank you!

And I've decided that this game will be super fine without first person view.
I have faith in this! I really do. Was sceptical at first but after seeing what I've seen - I'm happy!

You haven't seen the scans, have you? You can only say it's TES by the occasional ordinator or kagouti... it's very generic in art style.

I have seen things. And I can see it's TES but many of you might have a unrealistic expectations for this game to look exactly like Oblivion or Skyrim. That is not possible for a MMO.
What I've seen gives me the feeling that this is a Elder Scrolls fantasy world, I like it.

Its not that, I have seen enough MMO's to know what to expect from graphics...

But I could swear I was just looking at fable 3 screenshots :yuck:

I believe thanks are in order. I doubt I will personally play this, but I'm sure there are a lot of people who will love to play it! So, thanks, devs! :)

The stylized graphics, althought technically not all that impressive, I think at least beat the crude and tasteless art direction of Oblivion.

Yea they do beat oblivion... but I can't shake that fable 3 vibe. ( I hated fable 3, an example of another great franchise ruined and left to die on the curb.)

Don't listen to the doomsayers just yet. We've only known about the game a day (barely!).

I'm looking forward to seeing what future info holds in-store for TESO. :)

I have pity on the players who judge games by their graphics...

I just pray for 3 things:

1) The MMO will not establish canon that will limit or hamstring the single player games. Personally, I prefer each province to be mysterious until revealed by its own single-player game. I'd be less concerned if only the MMO were to be set on some other continent, such as Akavir or something, or only covered locations already established in TES II, III, IV, and V.

2) ZeniMax will not invest too many of their eggs in this one basket, so that if it fails it won't hamstring the budget for future Bethesda games.

3) Bethesda won't see this as a reason to focus exclusively on NON-TES IP.
