Hey Fargoth! I found your ring mate!

Hi all, this isn't really a spoiler so much as just a 'feature' so I think it belongs here.

You can (sometimes) give gifts to people and they'll sometimes give gifts to you! Isn't that great? I can't wait wait to see what my wife will give me for my birthday :P
You can also give your companions specific commands such as 'Wait' 'Use an object' (lever, chair etc.), 'Attack' 'Unlock' or 'Pick up'
It seems like Bethesda really did a great job with the NPCs this time. Cheers.

It was confirmed sometime ago that you could give orders to a companion (can only have 1 who you give orders to as far as we know) and recieve gifts now and then.

i read in an interview they can say no to certain commands too. the guy asked his companion to steal something from a peacful shopkeeper who the npc knew. the companion said somthing along the lines of "not for you, not for anyone!"

:whisper: It's a secret (no I don't have the game yet, still waiting impatiently for 11-11-11). It's official though, these features will be in the final product.

Apperently companions have a moral code too, if you tell someone for instance to steal an item from the town they are from, they may refuse, same if you tell them to attack someone they may know.

Some good companion details in this preview, however, some very minor spoilers, if your trying to avoid that sort of thing. http://www.ripten.com/2011/10/29/three-hours-with-skyrim-two-brave-bosmers-and-one-lying-khajiit/3/

Well that's great :D It proves the AI is pretty good and realistic.
