Do you prefer exploring in the day?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 7:02 pm

When i've got to go afar i prefer to go in the daytime. I Can see more etc. So does this add on more hours overall i've played the game or does it take this into account? Also does it matter if i pass time on?

I do prefer exploring in daylight to enjoy the beautifull landscape and also because I can see more plants to harvest.

I love both day and night, but I lean more towards night. Full moons, no clouds, and the aurora overhead is jaw droppingly beautiful.

I'm pretty heavy on roleplay, so I try and set up camp at night. Though, credit to Bethesda, the way nighttime is handled in Skyrim is phenomenal compared to Oblivion's light blue happy tint 24 hours a day.

<--- afraid of the dark

so i never go out side a village at night lol

Also if your outside at night...I get the feeling that enemies see you alot better as you see them....so when you see them...they are already aggresive....

This is avoided by the large red telepathic dots on your compass pointing out every aggressive enemy in the tri-state region. True, nonetheless

This. I actually mostly sleep at night but I did ascend the Throat of the World at night and it was an awesome sight to see the Aurora Borrealis from High Hrothgar.

I prefer daytime as well but take your point about the Aurora Borealis. Saw it yesterday for the first time and in conjunction with the recent Better night Skies Mod, I just zoomed out to 3rd person and enjoyed the view!

To be honest, I prefer exploring when the sun sets most. It's absolutely beautiful.

I'm a daytime guy. Easier on the eyes and there are more colours. That said, I don't avoid going out at night and sometimes I'll use the darkness to aid me in sniping bandits.

I'll rest if I need to do something during the day like shopping, but the nights can be too pretty to sleep through most of the time. Also it seems more fitting for sneaking around.

I'm far more suited to the night, being a stealth archer. Moonlight is perfect as it gives me enough clear vision for range yet enough shadows and cover to keep sneak attacking from range.

I, too, am pretty heavy on roleplay; since I got infected with Sanguinis Vampiris, I've been leaning more towards operating at night.

Night for me.

During the day, I find the gameworld a bit too grey and bland looking.

After playing Minecraft excessively for the past year or more, I try to find someplace to go during the night hours, preferably an inn, or other unlocked building. I keep expecting that some mob will come up behind me while my character is trodding along through the mountains, or forests.

I try to avoid using the time mechanism in the game with the exception of when I have to meet an NPC at a certain time to do a quest, in which case I use the timer. But as you might imagine, I spend a lot of time getting coffee, or going to the loo, or playing with our dogs while waiting for night to pass when I'm safe in an inn somewhere in Skyrim. If I'm out in the open wilds, then I'm more than likely sitting behind the desk keeping my character spinning around trying to peer through the overgrowth.

My character is a hunter and werewolf, so travelling at night suits his role. I won't wait for nightfall before attempting a quest however, unless it's thievery or assassination.
