Still some tearing after update

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:51 am

So I have been putting in a few hours to the game once the update went live, and for a while everything was amazing.

Unfortunately, not to spoil anything, I noticed some slow texture loading when rapidly turning during the first "boss fight."

Also once arriving at Wellspring some character models were glitched, and anytime I went to talk to someone the flickered around.

Anyone have similar troubles?

I don't have a fix, unfortunately. I messed around with Catalyst and turned vsync and triple buffering on, which seems to be an improvement. However, I just got to Wellspring and encountered the flickering NPCs. That's actually why I'm on the forums right now.

Alright, well it seems to be a general problem and not unique to a few PC's so hopefully it gets looked at.

The game is still easily playable, just breaks immersion very badly :(

I agree. So far I am loving this game. Even with the stutter/tearing. It really does take away from the game though. I always notice it, and it prevents me from really zoning in. Other than that I haven't had any other issues. Seems like they are mostly ATI problems. I am running a GeForce 460 and it runs beautiful! I will look into forcing v-sync on my control panel and see if that helps with the weird graphic tearing.
