Number of Perks

well I am not planning THAT complicated a build but 50 sure seems like a small number...Id like to do Axes Restoration heavy armor conjuring archery...and was hoping to do a little lock-picking :(..seems like it might not be possible :(.

That's why you make more than 1 character.

P.S. The lock picking perks are...bad.

The actual number of available perks is somewhere around 75.

This, although that would require you to level all 18 skills to 100.

Terrible answer. Although I am aware that being able to max every perk tree would be sort of lame, I do agree with the OP that 50 is a little, low of a number. I'm lucky that light armour perks are pretty bad, because personally I wanted a character who has some light armour perks (maybe maxed,) one-handed (this is what dual-wielding swords uses right?) along with destruction perks.

And I'm pretty sure you can't get 75 perks unless you literally do everything in the game, which kind of renders it useless because there would be hardly anything left to do when you achieve that.

i only want to be able to pick locks none of the other crap....I'm guessing i will have to pick stuff carefully and hopefully not have to burn to many to get what I want..I only care about the summons part of the Conjuration and as I said ability to PICK locks..hopefully i can max the rest.. Id like the full tree for armor and axes (1 handed) and archery.

I was also wondering if maybe perk (points) might be given out as quest rewards etc so your number might actually be a bit higher than 50.

You'll be a normal lockpicker without lock picking perks, something I'm--personally--ok with. I mean...looking at the perks, none really make you an "OMGAH AMAZING!" lockpicker. The only seemingly useful one come endgame is lockpicks not breaking.
