Can physical bows do this also or is the bound bow just more powerful?

Bound items are basically Daedric, the highest tier.

If u compare the normal uncrafted, unimproved bows. But when u use enchanting, smithing and alchemy the bound bow gets left behind.

No they aren't. They have the Daedric graphic, but are not nearly as powerful.

1. Without the bound weapon perk they are lower than glass weapons in damage.
2. With the bound weapon perk, they are higher than standard glass weapons, on par with Ebony, yet lower than the upgraded versions of either.

So unless you plan on powerleveling smithing, they are better than pretty much everything you can find normally until around level 30-35 or so.


They get left behind with just smithing. That doesn't make them weak though...far from it.

How do you see the attack power of your bound weapons?? I've looked on the active effects after its summoned and I stil can't see how strong it is. They're really strong, that's all I know but if like to see how they compare to my other weapons

Summon your bound weapon. Make sure to have a physical version of that same weapon "type" in your inventory (i.e. bound bow vs any other physical bow). Now look at the stats for the physical bow. It should show the damage of what you have equipped and then how much you would lose or gain from using the physical weapon. Actually, the type of physical weapon is kind of irrelevant to show how strong your current weapon is, it's just good for comparing like vs like. The mining pick would be just as useful to see what the damage of your current weapon is.

If you think that's not good enough, simply summon a pet that has a lot of health and use basic attacks on it over and over until it dies. Count how many it took. Repeat this a few times and then do the same thing again with a physical version of that weapon.
