Mod Req: Darker Dungeons and No Health Regen

Desperately need both of these. Dungeons are freaking bright, and health regen makes resource management too easy.

I second the request. Even at the darkest settings the dungeons are still very bright. Additionally, the automatic health regeneration when out of combat (and when just waiting an hour) makes things a bit too easy in my humble opinion. With all those awesome ingredients that we can cook and stuff to make potions with, I'd love having to prepare when going on a journey and get in trouble when I run out of food or potions to keep up my strength :)

Unless the light settings and health regen can be found somewhere in the .INI file, I'd love it if someone with knowledge of these particular settings would be willing to create a mod. And if there are easy tweaks I could do to the .INI to achieve the same result; please someone share them ;)

But, I think that even without health regen, you could heal yourself in well under an hour using your starting spells.

(Personally, I am not going to be using any mods which change gameplay, but if you want to go there, I think you should also be eliminating magicka regen?)

Well previously magicka regen could be eliminated by choosing the Atronach as your birth sign in Oblivion and Morrowind... but in the name of... erm, progress, those are gone. But agreed with original post.

We won't get far until the edtior is available. Health regen is probably just a setting in the esm; very easy to change.

Darker dungeons (and nights) may be quite a bit more work.

I believe the dungeons are not so bad, just a case of setting ambient light to 0-20% initially. Mods like Cava Obscura went further removing ambient fogs etc, of which there are plenty in Skyrim, but will have to see how that goes.

Hmmm, now that I've been playing a bit more; I noticed that the nights outside don't seem all that dark either. Anyone know of a global outdoor/indoor setting in the .INI maybe which might alleviate the brightness and make everything darker (apart from the setting in the ingame menu, which in my game is already at minimum)? :)

I agree, the health regen makes me not care about being careful or avoiding damage. It's very unrealistic. I get poisoned, lose health, poison wears off... instantly heal
