Seems everyone I see with this card has low framerates. Is anyone out there on this card able to run rage ok? If so can you plz list your rageconfig (if you are using one), AI cat settings, etc.

I have it

It works fine with the new driver update
AMD Rage Performance Driver here:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles...erfDriver.aspx

Save this config file in steam\steamapps\common\rage\base

If you have only a 512mb video card tell me if it runs okay as this fix forces more textures into vram so they won't have to keep loading constantly. If it causes too much hitching/stuttering make sure you turn off antialiasing.

For cards with 512MB to 1.5GB of VRAM.
https://rapidshare.com/files/76740298/Rageconfig.cfg

you need to add id software\rage folders to users\username\appdata\local\ directory....

Then in the catalyst control center ( in ADVANCED OPTIONS\3d applacation settings) make sure the setting for wait for vertical refresh is set to ALWAYS ON or all the way to the right

And finally go to your launch options for rage in steam and set them to +fc_maxcachememoryMB 1024 +vt_maxPPF 16

and it runs GREAT

It's working great for me, using the same card and the RAGE ATI/AMD drivers.

I just noted the presence of the Rageconfig.cfg tweaks so I'm going to try them out to quell the texture pop-in issues.

However, I still notice texture tearing and such on various NPC's in Wellspring, not as bad as the first day of course but still there.

At certain veiwing angles it disappears, so if I do not look straight at an NPC then there is no tearing.
