It's not Metacritic's fault. Metacritic is a review aggregator. It has an algorithm it uses to come up with a score based on review scores from around the web... It's actually the best site you can get review information from, because it is not scoring the game itself, but taking scores from many sources to present the whole picture.

It always strikes me as funny how many people get defensive about a game they love and seem to take anything said about it that isn't all praise as some sort of personal insult.

From our Forum Rules (I know, I know - no one reads them, so here's the part of it that explains why this thread is getting locked - )

7. Flaming is not allowed.

Insulting individuals or groups of members and name calling are flames. Any remark that is made to insult or demean another member or group of members will be considered a flame and thus you may receive a warning for it.
Calling people a troll or an apologist for instance can both be considered a flame as can calling someone stupid or ADD. Attacking Xbox players, PS3 players or PC players is not allowed and calling them "console kiddies" or in anyway indicating someone is in some way a lesser person because of their choice is considered a flame here.
