I can't save my progress!

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 5:37 pm

I waited in line for an hour and a half in line last night to get this game for my father(pc) and myself (ps3). When I did finally get it I took it over to his house and I started a game on his ps3 to just try it out. I worked great, no problems at all. saving worked great. I transfered my save to a usb stick and brought everyting home with me and installed skyrim on my ps3, but when I loaded my save, it said that it belonged to someone else, and that I could play it but not save. I said screw that and just started an new game right away. Now I'm back to a point where I was able to save when I was at my dad's playing, but the save option is greyed out. What the hell is this crap?! why can't I save at all now?

After screwing around a bit I figured out what the problem was.

I was worried that I could never save ANY games again on my system. But I had to quit the game completely, and delete my saves that I brought from my dad's housed. It's a shame that the character that my girlfriend just spent 4 hours crafting to perfection is gone.

You cannot transfer files from one ps3 account to another and save. If you start skyrim, try to load that transfered game, it will lock you out of saving completely even if you start a new one.
You have to quit the game and start it back up before it lets you save again. I also deleted my transfered saves.

So I hope this helps other out there from running into this problem.
