Well I would like the abysmal UI, text and window sizes, and unpolished mouse support areas addressed first.

I second the mouse/keyboard input. Especially in menus. The character creator was horrible with no consistency...

Agreed, this is of the utmost importance.

Off the top of my head, the next priorities are:

1. Hotkeys for favorites. (Until we have the tools, it's tough to say if this is even possible).
2. Bugfixes in menus for rebinds. (I play ESDF, but some menus still display the default WASD hotkeys for actions).

Low priority:

1. Ability to switch between gamepad/joystick and mouse without exiting the game. (Possibly difficult).
2. Add separate hotkey for exit menu (instead of TAB being required).

There are already hotkeys. Favorite something, open the favorites menu, and press the hotkey to assign it.

Problem is making those things work properly for weapon dual-wielding. It's ridiculous.

What we could really use is hotkeys that optionally work for both hands at once. So you can have one hotkey for your sword 'n shield combo, one for the double heal, one for the fire+shock spray, etc.

Only issue I ran into was it being impossible to navigate the perks section. My mouse and keyboard work fine in the new interface, actually

Basically we need a UI mod that...

1. Allows you to rebind EVERY key, including TAB, R, E & F without screwing everything up. Very annoying to have 'Interact' bound to your mouse but have to reach over to TAB to close a container or dialog. Also, if you rebind the E key to the mouse you cannot 'Take' a book after reading it.

2. Allows you to bind L&R hand to one key so you can have sword/sheld, sword/destruction, etc with one keystroke.

3. Would be great to have additional mouse support for gaming mice that have more than 5 buttons. Mine has 9 but can only use 5.

I'd much rather have all of the issues stated above dealt with first, but it's kind of annoying having to choose between binding my Race Ability or a Shout. I guess I can just favorite them...

A mod to change the size of the interface/inventory independent from the resolution would be nice!

The fonts are way too big, in dialogues, the trade window and the inventory I have to scroll down to see all possibilities.

Hope there will be a mod for it soon.

I am hoping that the interface can be almost completely "rewired." Some things may be very difficult because of how the keys are bound or linked, I hope they keys (like open and close object or lockpick or hotkeys) can be independently bound in the interface, expanding the control key menu (or with ini files). I'm worried that some of these relationships are limitations of the engine.

The menus are harder, though it looks like part of the problem is that the selection boxes don't always line up with the text, and this may vary between resolutions / video drivers. Some of it is just not apparently rethinking the interface at all after developing it for the console version.

It's almost like they forgot that PC Keyboards have more than 20 keys.

I only wish I knew what to do to help the process along.

If you equip a weapon over a spell and then de-equip it via hotkeys, the spell that used to be in that hand will be reactivated. Plus, you can use shift to put a weapon/spell in your left hand with the hotkeys. How are any of these things signs of a consolized UI? I've yet to see a PC game release that isn't criticized as consolized, short of games made only on the PC in the first place. Hell, I can't think of many other games released recently that let you use the mouse wheel for sliders, or let you use Y/N to confirm choices, or let you use the mouse to click on what are supposedly keyboard prompts.

It would be nice to be able to hotkey stuff without having to favorite it first. In fact, I don't feel much need for a favorites menu at all.

What I'd like to see is the ability to rebind grab to something other than Hold-E.
