Problem Tweaking Graphics Settings and Mapping Key Bindings

Seriously guys - you all were the ones that blazed the trail for so many PC games, and most certainly the FPS genre. What happened to you all? I go into settings - Video settings are more of a joke than the crap Crytek came out with in their console port when they initially released Crysis 2. Same goes with Keyboard settings - seriously? What a joke that interface is. For a company that has been fed by PC gamers you all failed miserably with this release and threw us to the side - it is so obvious with this limited console option settings BS.

I saw this game at Quakecon in 2010, went and put it on a pre-order, then it got pushed out until this year, so I have waited this long for this crap? Seriously, this is a waste of time until I get controls. I want to be able to tweak and crank up all the visuals - no way to do that. I want to map my controls to my mouse and keyboard - there is nothing at all and no way to do this. Controllers have more options than Mouse/Keyboard - obviously built for Consoles over PC users - shows where the loyalty is, not to your FPS crowd who has supported you all over the years. I have silently been a Quake fan and Wolfenstein, etc - but this release prompted me to create an account and voice my dissatisfaction - I am totally disappointed.

Your specific problems are:

1. tweaking graphics settings

and

2. mapping key bindings

Is that correct?

The graphics settings can be tweaked by (1) the cfg file (2) your graphics card options menu and (3) by adding specific commands to the Steam launch options.

You can map key bindings for almost all functions by going to Settings->Controls. There are a couple of functions such as Inventory (Tab), Quicksave (F5), Quickload (F9), that cannot be mapped to other keys and you cannot map anything to NumPad5 or NumPad/. Other than that you can change the key bindings however you like, AFAIK.

Why should I be adjusting anything outside of the game's interface to make it work when they charge $59 for this [censored]. What's next, you want me to recompile my Windows kernel or something?
