Hello, I just heard out about TES:Online and was worried that it will be PC only :/ and I've only got a Mac and a Xbox which makes me sad that I might not be abke to play it

So do you think it will be on Macs/Xbox/Ps3?

No known information as yet. Hopefully it'll be in tomorrow's teaser or the GI article.

I'd still get a PC for it, if I do. Because if I'm buying it, that means it isn't monthly, but I'd still have to start paying for xbox live (which I refuse to do). I think it could work on multiplatform, but I'm no tech so I don't now if there'd have to be platform-exclusive servers.

I wouldn't think that any MMO's would be released on the 360/PS3. They're both toward the end of their life cycles. Maybe next generation? I know Arenanet has a division looking into bringing Guild Wars 2 to consoles. But they didn't specify this gen or next. I would assume next.

It's also possible that it could run in BootCamp, if your Mac has an Intel processor.

It's PC and Mac.

Yes this was confirmed in the GI cover reveal:

The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled to come out in 2013 for both PC and Macintosh.

Mac and PC and MMOs generally aim for low minimum specs to reach a wider audience.

Interesting. The reason I don't play Skyrim on PC is because... I don't own one. I have a Mac and a PS3. I'm cautious about this idea.

I really hope so, my PC cannot run Skyrim so I'm PRAYING I can play this.

I would have bought it if it was coming for PS3.

I guess they don't want my monthly fee.

I was kind of annoyed by the fact that the game will only be for PC and Mac. I do have an alienware, but I feel more comfortable with a controller in my hand than a keyboard and a mouse.

Bethesda will continue to churn out console titles for you. I'm glad ZOS is making this MMO for computers.

You can afford an alienware computer, but not a controller for it?

Because an Xbox and a PS3 don't have the processing power for a live game world like this. Also, you can purchase a controller for your PC. I'm not trying to start a PC vs console flame, I'm just stating the truth.

MMO's often require more key binds than a controller can comfortably handle, although it's possible a keyboard+gamepad set-up would get you around this. (I played Oblivion with a joystick+mouse and had a great time, it's a shame few games support this setup).

Playing a console MMO with a Controller AND keyboard combo is an instant no brainer......we did it almost 10 years ago with EQOA and FFXI on a Playstation 2 for crying out loud.

Perhaps the current generation of consoles might not be able to handle certain aspects of the engine, like 200-player PvP.

I was thinking along the lines that ArenthianSniper may be able to play this on his computer and still use a gamepad. As for console support, I doubt the interface is the only barrier keeping this away.
