We all know the blades where disbanded at some unknown time during the 4th era and the remaining blades where hunted down and murdered like order 66.Anyway the ones who did this in my opinion
are the new empires secret guard the Penitus Oculatus.The pentitus Oculatus are highly trained lethal inquistitors for the mede dynasty and first appeared in the ,,infernal city,,so judging by other reports to a few of them are in the game looking for the blades that being esbern.I don't know if thats true the thalmor agents also hunted down some of the blades in my opinion.
