Yes positive, this question's come up a lot. Fable 2 gave people some weird ideas about what RPGs need as features (Fable didn't allow you to play as a female character did it?)

I think only in Fable 1, the others(Fable 2/3) allowed you to be a female. The reason why you can't have any babies in Skyrim is due to is time. A year in game takes a while, I'm just guessing maybe like 80-150 hours to just reach over a year. While in Fable there was a progression of time for example in all of the Fable it takes years(in-game) in order to actually complete the main quest and by the end of it you're either a old man(Fable 1/2) or it takes 1 year for your character to take the throne and another year to defend it. So thats why it makes somewhat sense that you can have kids in Fable but not Elder Scrolls games.

I think a child for the player character would be interesting, when most folk play a game the only real risk is to the player character, people who dream about being hero's never really consider the risk they put others in, so for example in this game, being the one that's a threat to alduin and his plans would put any family members at risk.
Having a child is not a feature I'll miss, but it would certainly be interesting from a role play perspective so long as the consequences are scripted properly.

I like how Elder Scrolls is incorporating more simulation elements. It is not as if you have to use them but it adds to the believability of the world.

If the marriage thing is popular then I am sure they'll flesh it out for the next games. I can see having children become a 'side-feature' of the game. The only problem as stated is time, it naturally progresses in TES and TES takes itself serious enough to not have kids grow up from a baby to a school-child in 10 ingame days.

However it would be nice if it is possible to own a house and press on the bed and say 'forward 10 years'. Problem is people would be expecting more Fable-like features like aging (although Fable III didnt even have it) and seeing the world change. So maybe this is exactly the reason why they arent doing it, it creatures expectations on which they can never deliver. But should Bethesda read this, I am open to any simulation elements you feel like adding, as long as it isn't a 'must do' feature to continue playing.

I really wanted to be able to have babies, and then grow them and harvest their skin for Dragonborn leather armor :(

I'm curious. How does Fable get around the delayed response to quests.

Take for example you take a quest - say, collect 10 horker noses for some old guy. You go off do some quests that advance the time 10 years, you have kids they grow up...

...then you decide to collect 10 horker noses. Is the old guy still alive, has he grown older, does he still WANT the 10 horker noses... and so on.

That was only in Fable 1, the others had certain points in the game that would tell you to finish any quests if you went on with the MQ you would lose any quests you didn't finish before then.

Edit: Then again I think there was point in Fable 1 that did that as well I can't remember about that one.

I am up for more life simulation features. They always make the world more believable.

When killing mobs and slashing enemies gets old real RP kicks in. That is the moment when I want to make my unique fantasy world. :)

How can you have babies if you're spending all of your time playing Skyrim?
You may not even stay married after 11-11-11.

It would be a cool feature in future TES titles, but in this specifc one, no, it won't be in, unless we get trolled like we did the Werewolves.

I think it would be cool though, my Imperial Dovahkiin, Jarl of Solitude, my wife Princess of Skyrim(I will make this happen, you watch) and then having my sons and daughters beside me, what a sight.
