Armor choice

I played sneaky Bosmer character in Oblivion but plan to create the warrior this time and heavy armor seems more suitable. I would love though to be able to perform sneak attacks from time to time and you need to level your heavy armor skill up to 70 to aquire the perk for that. I wonder if you can level your armor skill faster other than just wearing it. Do I have to wear only heavy armor set to level the skill? What if I wear mixed armor parts, do I level both light and heavy armor at the same time?

Conventional wisdom would indicate that you could level them at the same time, but both would level slower than if you were decked out in a single variety of armor.

The only way to level heavy armor "Faster" is to buy training in the skill.

If you wear mixed armor, you level them at a slower rate than if you wear just one type, because of the way armor XP is handled.

Any idea if the training is set to Morrowind's as much as you can afford system, or Oblivion's only five times per level system? I figure it's the latter, but realistically, if you have the money and the time, you should be able to get as many lessons from trainers as you want.
