Play this game aswell? No am not gonna complaint about anything, its just of curiosity..
Main reason i ask is cause, i am a rather close friend to an Blizzard employee who works nighttime as a game master in World of Warcraft, and after numerous questions from me about if he play the game itself he just said; "Well am finaly gonna answer your question.. And no i do not play world of warcraft.. I work with it all night long, sometimes overtime, 5-6 days a week. Its not fun to play when i get home, besides.. its no fun to play a game where you know exactly whats going to happen and when and so on.. AND have your co-workers teasing you with whispers from the office and such.."

So do you think the dev's of Skyrim play some themself at home? :)

I dunno does them?

but to answer your question I'm sure they did play at some point during development, but when you are iterating over and over and over again and wake up to the same game day after day you soon get bored with it. I think that's a flaw in that overtime developers burn out on their current game and consequently they need to find other projects to work on.

However, I bet the devs will come back in a year or so after a ton of player-made mods are released, just to see what people made and give them ideas for TES VI

Doubtful that they play it for fun. Working 8-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week, will break you interest in playing the game for fun. I say this having a shipped title under my own belt. I never beat the second mission on a retail copy.

In most Dev videos they've said that they HAVE TO play it and most meetings are about playing the game on the big screen and doing stuff to find things to tweak/change/add.

Now, I'm not sure they're playing after they've released it...

Don't think it could have been said better than this.

Most devs are probably too "bored" from the development process to play the game for fun in their spare time.
