Sound Distortion

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:33 am

Ever since starting to play Skyrim I have had some sound distortion, most noticeable when NPC's talk, there voices will go all deep and hard to hear. Mostly there is a static kind of sound playing in the background. This happens on and off, so sometimes the game is nice a clear (how it was intended) and then mostly the sound is just stuffed most of the time. I verified my steam cache and its 100% ok, I exceed the minimum system requirements and everything else on my PC works perfectly sound wise.

Anyone know a fix to this? I really want to continue playing but I dont want to ruin the experience with horrid sound.

This did not work for me. I have the same thing though. I have to usually look in the opposite direction of an npc to hear them talking and the music sounds absolutely god awful. Like I'm listening to a song recorded on a cell phone and posted to youtube :(
