This is after killing the giant mutant.

Others have reported a glitch where the door to the room with the defrib upgrade won't open.

I don't have that problem, but a similar one. After I pick up the defrib and kill the mutants, I head downstairs to what should be a sttraightformward exit back to the Wasteland, but the exit door is closed!!!! This is in the small room with the Hammer at the bottom of the stairs.

How do I get past this? I've looked at a few walkthrus and the door is wide open in all of them. HELP!!!
