I just bought a retail version of RAGE and when I insert the disc it starts up but the code isn't compatible through steam and I need to activate it via games for windows. Windows live support is a joke and after spending 10min on the phone with "Micheal" from India and not even getting past my user name with him. I gave up. I can't get past the install without steam starting, the bonus content would install fine but I need the full version first.

I'd thought I'd see if anyone else is having this issue or maybe a solution to it, I assumed I'd get frustrated with the drivers and textures but not wth even getting it activated.

yes, and the part where you thought you'd check to see if anyone is having this issue...
