Ok so... being a long time id fan, one of the first things I did was to enable the console and see what I could tweak. I got a few achievements even after enabling the console so I didn't think much of it.

However, now that I've made it to Mutant Bash, I get to the end and my game pauses with roughly this message: "Achievements disabled because the console was used in this game."

Okay, no problem, I think. Let me just quit Rage, turn off the console access, restart, and I'll replay this bit.

Replay Mutant Bash.

"Achievements Disabled because the console was used in this game."

As annoying as that might be, who cares about achievements... my problem is that I now get this message any time the game hits a loading point.

Sigh. Nevermind that console use was pretty much necessary to get the game functional for those who want nice looking textures...

Anyone have a fix? It's no biggie if not... I've never been a huge achievement hunter... but it's just stupidly annoying after all of the crap one has to go through to get this game playable to be slapped in the face for it. Over. And over. And over....

was it? i put the tweaks in the cfgs and as launch options instead. anyhoo, guess you're out of luck unless you want to restart.

Yeah just use config file or command line and don't enable console then you will be fine.
