Texture Bug::System Version Thread

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 1:37 am

I've seen a lot of confusion and chaos around this texture bug if installed to HDD issue.

Let's help provide constructive and helpful feedback info for people by being a bit more systematic:

Post the following information:

(1) Installed to HDD (at any point in time - issue seems to possibly persist)? Yes/No
(2) Seeing Low-Res Textures that don't load properly (i.e. still don't load after a few seconds)
(3) What type of Xbox are you on? (i.e. Slim, Old School, Elite, etc)
(4) Any additional comments (i.e. "I cleared cache before installing" or "I uninstalled and it works fine now" or "I installed to USB and things are groovy")

Thanks!! Hopefully this will sort out what's going on and provide actionable information in the interim before Bethesda offers a fix!

Alright. So I've encountered this problem (only about 20 minutes in). I'm playing on an xbox slim 4gb console and I'm playing from the disk. So we can now confirm that it actually doesn't matter whether or not you play from the disk or HDD. I just now tried clearing the system cache to see if that fixed the problem, it didn't. Now I'm going to try installing the game onto a flash drive to see what that does. I'll respond as soon as I can.

I'm not sure if the game looks like crap or I just have the texture bug. I'm leaning toward texture bug, but could some folks post screens of the texture issues and add them to the OP that way people can properly diagnose their issue? Thank you in advance.

Yeah, of the people I've seen with this issue, of the ones that reveal their system version they all seem to have the slim. I've seen one person with the original Xbox saying that they installed it and didn't have the problem.

I'm guessing that this may be an Xbox 360 Slim issue.

Anyone with an old-school Xbox or Elite having the texture problems?

Installed the game onto a 16gb flash drive with a cleared cache and the problem persists. Looks as though there is nothing we can do on our end to keep this from occuring.
