Graphical glitches and audio problems on the PS3 version.

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 12:39 am

The 360 version ain't the only one suffering from texture problems and what not... The game on the PS3 version seems to have lots of audio stuttering which effects both the music of the game and the dialogue but it seems to be something that only happens wen your using a wireless headset, but still should be noted.

Not only that but i've seen the texture streaming bug thats on the 360 on this version as well... some textures take ages to load and just ruins the overall immersion of the game.

Another thing for you guys to know:

Bethesda, you should also be aware that the starting area on the PS3 version is horrendous. It suffers from frame rate issues and the stuff i mentioned above.

Please, release a patch to improve the overall performance of the game, even if it means lowering the graphics a bit. The game looks absolutely stunning, but these shortcomings shouldn't go unnoticed.

Dont make this another fallout and oblivion and just simply ignore these problems. I'm a huge elder scrolls fan that happens to be on console.. i dont want to get the short end of the stick(as they say) :violin:

If anyone is experiencing any of these problems(or similar ones) please post below.

Starting area was perfect for me.. No lag whatsoever.

As for the stuttering music, this happens without the headset as well. My surround sound picks it up , especially on the music front. However i did find turning the system off.. (so the optical cables connection is cut) then back on fixed the issue. From what i know, the PS3 will turn the connection off completely if the system on the other end of the cable stops running. So once i turned my sound system off the ps3 actually stops broadcasting down the optical cable, When its turned back on , the PS3 takes a few seconds but the sound catches up with itself and the stuttering stops.

Yea. I've heard people at neogaf complaining about the audio issue on PS3 as well. Seems like this isn't just something random that happens with a headset.

Hopefully bethesda is reading this thread and looks into this.

games framerate has been very bad in some places, around 3-10 frames per second at worst, done many things to try and get round this i.e. changing ps3 display settings, plugging ps3 power cable directly into the wall, deleting stuff off my ps3 hdd, deleting previous skyrim saves, all of this has not made a difference.

We need some answers from bethesda, they can not leave this, after all that money they spent on marketing the game, they should have some more money to make it work correctly.
