I'm going to revisit my Spencer Homes from Morrowind, as I figure I'll start with something I was good at last time. I'm just starting this thread as a placeholder for now, and to announce that I plan to work on a homes mod (thrilling, I know). I guess that will also give me a chance to meet other house mod builders and start working to avoid conflicts. I haven't picked out locations yet or formulated any specifics.

Some elements I'll try to keep the same as last time. In the Morrowind version of Spencer Homes, I had several styles of homes available, and mini "quests" to obtain them (mostly updated through dialogue options). Most people seemed to enjoy the acquisition portion and felt the prices were fairly done (from affordable starter homes to exorbitantly priced manors). Any ideas you guys might have in that regard are of course welcome. I know I'm going to have to get some practice with several different areas of the CS (CK makes me think of underwear). Last time, I needed to know dialogue modifications, scripting, quest journal, cell editing (obviously), quite a bit of retexturing (thank God for player-made utilities!) and other stuff. So, yeah.. this isn't going to be released right away. Besides, I also like to take my time in designing and decorating my homes.

Nevertheless, feel free to leave any wishes, suggestions, ideas, etc.

Glad to see we have some talent hard at work on house mods. I've been scouting locations in which I will build my own homes for personal (and maybe community) use. One of the best locales I've found for just a nice tower similar in style to Frostcrag would be near High Hrothgar. Imagine a balcony that extends out over the mountain and some nice amenities. Also I think many people would clamor for simple, well done homes in each of the small villages that dot the landscapes around the larger towns. For example, a manor/farm type home in the plains around Whiterun. Lastly I've entered planning for a fortress type home that will include Battlehorn type amenities( recruiting guards, trophies, making wines etc.) I think this would be really neat to have in an area that dragons could spawn. Just imagine having that threat looming outside our walls and having to defend your home when one does arrive.

Just some thoughts, the only one I've really put any work into has been the keep idea so I'm not too attached to any of them. Look forward to seeing some of your stuff once the kit comes out.
