Mod the textures

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 11:55 pm

Would it be possible to make a mod that improved the textures? cause, from a distance everything looks great on Ultra, but when you move closer everything gets blurry and you cant see that a rock is a rock, its just blurry colors :)

dont get me wrong the graphics are very nice, and not that important in this masterpiece of a game, but it would make a great mod :P

and also, when it rains things dont get wet, which was done in other new games, and doesnt seem to require that much, it looks great in Shogun2totalwar for example.

Yes, I have already replaced the windows in Whiterun as well as the tree in the center.Unpack with FOMM and get started. It's pretty straightforward

Does FOMM unpack the bsa files? If so where can I download it from?

Thanks

Not sure if FOMM's BSA tool will do it, but I know http://sites.google.com/site/ronsworkspace/GameUtilities/fallout3 works :)

I've unpacked and got them ready for the CreationKit - can't wait!
But confusion already...
Nifskope does not show a texture path for the nifs - just Txt and references to BSShaderTextureSet
so how does one assign the .dds files to the .nifs?

3dmax8 won't let me open the nif says it's unsupported or not a nif file. So something has changed
Both 3dmax8 and Blender report that the Value Error: 'string is too long."

I used FOMM to unpack really easy. Just get your paths right.
