Disk tray problem

Alright, so i get home im happy as i can be, when suddenly i pop in my disk and it wont read, now i was fine with this i thought oh, okay maybe just needs blowing off dust, put back in nothing.......sigh....try another game now nothing will read and i was playing fallout 3 perfectly fine an hour before hand, this im so angry i just cant describe it im on the fence is it my laser? or is it the game? i mean i don't know whether its just a coincidence, but it cant be its a slim and ive only had since summer....so..honestly im in a horrible mood....im tired of hearing people complain about textures, when i cant even play the damn thing...sigh..im just a little heartbroken is all. :sadvaultboy:

Sorry dude but your laser is probably gone, and game is not a problem i am 99% sure...
Is your console under warranty?

to be honest im not so sure, old one rrod, so i bought one at walmart the slim, and never got a warranty, it cant be the laser, i was just playing an hour before hand, my whole entire weekend is ruined,

If you didnt get warranty that means console was used for god knows how long and warranty expired already...
In my country (Serbia) minimal warranty is 2 years for all hardware.
Yeah it happens like that, just stops reading and that's it...

It is physically impossible for a game to break the disk drive on your console. A more likely explanation is that either the drive's laser lens is covered in dust, there is a minor corruption on the cache on your HDD or there is a general hardware fault on your console. Assuming its not the latter you could try a few things to resolve the issue. If the lens is covered in dust you could try using a lens cleaning disk which will brush the lens clean, you can buy these from most game, computer or general entertainment shops like HMV, Game or PC World. If its a caching issue then you could try clearing the cache on your HDD and then restarting your console.

Well i tried everything on xbox. com ...im just done i cant afford to send in for repairs..no warranty and whatnot. il just get my money back, thought today would be nice, but nope as usual thanks for the help everyone apreciate it, bye
