Skyrim Square help for PS3?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 2:06 pm

From the start of Skyrim where the dragon first appears there was Purple Squares surrounding it. Now, everywhere I see purple squares... like when dust would fall from the ceiling in bleak falls temple i would see purple sqares.. also when I use the flame spell and its just in my hand i see the flame but there are orange squares around it.. also when i would attack the skeletons in bleak falls temple i would see purple squares around the slash i did.. BTW this doesn't happen in only Bleak falls Temple I just used it as an example.. Someone, please help! Oh and also, sometimes there is a lag.. like not too often but every 7 or so minutes it will stop for like 5 seconds and then go again perfect. Please help!

Here are some videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xT8M7V-320 --- you will notice when the flame hits the ground the purple squares that appear... this happens for multiple occasions not only for the magic.

PLEASE HELP

How old is your ps3? What model? Is it properly maintained and cooled?

It looks like a particle issue with the renderer which is a sign your ps3 graphics card is on its way out or overheating

Right, so its a slim? Hmm.. im sorry but that deffinatly looks like your graphics card is on its way out. Its not handling the partical animations correctly, if this keeps going after restarting the machine and reinstalling the game then im afraid thats probably what it is.

Glad to hear you got it working... Could've been corrupted game data. Be sure to pass it on to anyone having the same troubles!
