All-time best moments in Skyrim!

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 9:37 am

Post yours below!

#1 - Some dual Katana wielding, ninja-like assassin appears out of the blue, chases me down and hands me my ***! Where did he get those pajamas???!!!

#2 - A close second; in combat I executed a perfect decapitation on the first strike of some bandit and immediately afterward, another decapitation on the very next strike. Two down, zero to go! Wish I had a vid capture of that one.

Was buying a horse from an NPC then I hear a loud thundering noise and I exit dialogue fast to see a dragon had landed and is murdering nearby civies. Was really surpised because normally dialogue is like a sanctuary in TES games.

I killed that Talos priest who goes on day and night about Talos, very annoying to hear all the time. Then a begger goes up to the body and says "shouldn't leave things around to trip over" and begins looting him.

LOL nice. There's a couple of good one-liners out there.

I had a kick out of being able to play tag with the children in a certain town I was walking through. We were ignoring everyone just running through town laughing and having a good time playing tag. And walking into another little mining village and sitting at the town campfire and eating dinner with five people sitting around the campfire and just chatting with them like one of the villagers. Then they had a quest for me to do to get their mine up and running, it was overrun with spiders. So I went into the mine and killed three spiders in about 2 minutes, and wham bam, quest done. That was kind of a let down.

Oh yea, and running through the marshes chasing butterflies. That is great fun.

The fact that i got a 1000 gold bounty RIGHT after killing the dragon for White's reach, made me go really mad... had to kill 2 giants with my bow and hide my stolen goods in their chest before i could actually pay the bounty on me ( wich i don't even know how i got in the first place).

When I finished the Labyrinthan dungeon, step outside...take a breath of fresh air and what do I see? Giant ass frost dragon circle strafing me and breathing down my neck (literally). So I pop out a summon and start lobbing fireballs at it. It crashes to the ground and while I'm dodging it's attacks and whittling away at it's health...I hear a giant roar behind me and a huge shadow going over my head...*gulp*

Out of mana and out of luck...my atronach finishes off the first dragon and now I'm left running around between rocks on top of this huge mountain with snow blowing all around me so thick I can hardly see my own hand in front of my face, trying to see where the dragon's coming from while trying to get my mana back. Check inventory to see no mana pots left (used 'em all on that stupid Lich) and look down to see I nearly ran off the cliff trying to dodge the dragon (who now lands behind me)...

Bethesda couldn't have scripted the whole sequence better if they were being deliberate about it imo (and yes, I did kill that 2nd dragon without dying).

I'm reallly really really glad I like these kind of games. :D

Very cool. Actually, this thread is introducing me to aspects of the game I was never even aware of.

Last night I discovered a Dragon Lair and there was a Word Wall in it. It was also an epic battle with the dragon...a very long fight but I learned a new tactic and finally prevailed with Lydia's help. I was rewarded with the second word for Ice Form. :)

I wouldn't call this one a best moment but certainly one of the funniest. I was in a battle fighting against stormcloaks or bandits I don't remember which but I had help from someone I was on a quest with and anyway the guy who was helping did one of those cool finsher moves where he comes in from behind and arcs them backwards then stabs them in the chest/stomach area lol anyway while this cool move was being performed I stood watching as the victim yelled "Fine! I didn't need your help anyway."
