Changing Mouse Sensitivity?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:34 pm

In the settings I have my mouse sensitivity maxed out, but i still need to move my mouse a mile just to turn to the right

Is there any console command or file setting where I can make the sensitivty higher than it can be set in-game?

The max sensitivty is simply too low for me to be able to play

Disable V-sync and see if that helps. (It will.)

I noticed this too, goto your my documents/games the blah blah skyrim open up the SkyrimPrefs.ini press cntrl F and type in mouse then next it should highlight..... MouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0900 change whatever yours says to this one 0.0900 higher is faster turn.

I think its actually the mouse acceleration that bugs people. You can set that to 0 in the .ini

Thanks a lot :D

Ive got skyrim via steam, and since all gamefiles are installed in steams directory, i also editted the SkyrimPrefs.ini in the steam directory, which didnt have any effect
changing the exact same file in my documents/games did work :)

Get rid of mouse smoothing in the .ini file.

Also once you actually start the game you can press ESC and go to options there (no options menu in the main menu strangely) and change mouse sensitivity too.....though i put mine at max and it is still rather slow compared to what my other games are.

If you do what i said it will make the mouse faster than the ingame max.

Sorry, I forgot to say you have to edit it in the .ini.
From Tweakguides.com:

To disable VSync in Skyrim, add iPresentInterval=0 to the bottom of the [Display] section of the Skyrim.ini file in the \Users\[Username]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim directory.
