DirectSong - Support does not respond, no automated email

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:55 am

So I recently placed a Paypal order for the 4 CD soundtrack on DirectSong. Cool, I thought, got my Paypal receipt and all is gravy. Then I realized I didnt actually have an account registered with DirectSong, so I figured ah why not I'll make one.

Here's where I run into trouble... When I try to create an account, it tells me my email is already in their system. That's strange, I think to myself. Well, what would one normally do in this situation? I requested a password reset for my email address, and to my surprise it said they sent me an email with instructions on how to recover my password.

This email never came. I'm definitely savvy enough to check my trash and spam just in case, and I got nothing. So I tried it again - nothing. So I wander over to their support page (directsong.com/support) where you can create a ticket or view an existing ticket. So, I created one, explained my problem. I clicked send, and I got a new page with my ticket number also saying my ticket info would be emailed to me. I closed the webpage (without copying down the ticket number..), bad move, since I never got THAT email EITHER!

So just what the hell is going on with DirectSong? Has any else run into something like this? I'm worried now that I wont even get my soundtrack copy that I order if this is any indication of how the site is operated...

I'm having the same problem. I ordered and paid for the Skyrim OST and received no email with shipping info or even a receipt other than my auto-generated PayPal receipt. This is the most unprofessional company I've dealt with in a long time. They dont respond to support tickets and i have no reason to believe they shipped my 4-disc soundtrack (which was stated to be signed by Jeremy Soule)

If I dont hear from DirectSong by the end of the week I'm disputing the charge from paypal and getting my money back. This is [censored] ridiculous.

here you can read it

Hi XXXXX

Thank you for your order!

The CD’s are still in manufacturing at this time, and Jeremy Soule has to sign them before they are shipped out.

Because your order was on the 6th, your order will go out in the first lot because that was the fourth day we started taking orders.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Best Regards,

XXXX
