Morrowind song in Skyrim....

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 6:01 pm

so exploring around a bit, I noticed a song come on....that was from Morrowind.
I have the Morrowind soundtrack and have listened to it enough times to recognize this.

Anybody else notice this??

Yup. I recognized it the first time it played. Told my boyfriend about it, but he never played Morrowind so he didn't care =P. I was very happy to swim in the nostalgia of it!

You're not hearing things. It's there.

Yep, they seem to have used music from both Morrowind and Oblivion. I'm not complaining, though; both games had decent music.

When I was in Whiterun, I heard a track from the Morrowind OST. I wish I had the full soundtrack to this game to listen to. I could've sworn up and down that I heard a couple of the more ambient Daggerfall tracks redone in-game too (Although I think Daggerfall had a different composer and it used the old Midi format).. Once today while dungeon crawling in The Midden beneath Winterhold College and once yesterday while travelling above ground. I may be wrong, though. If so, then some of the music sounds remarkably similar. But, the Morrowind and Oblivion music was unmistakably recognizable.

The morrowind theme music is epic as is all the rest of the morrowind score.

It's a slightly different version of a song that appeared in both Morrowind and Oblivion, and it's probably my favourite track in the game.

Overall though, I think the soundtrack pales in comparison to Oblivion's.

Yup, my favorite bit of Music in Skyrim. Brings back the Morrowind memories - perfect for my away-from-home Dunmer.

Totally agreed. I occasionally find myself humming it to this very day. Excellent music, to be sure.

I noticed this the first time I played too. Then I said to myself, "Well that is 10 points to Skyrim!"
