I bought the game today and while playing it i noticed I couldnt see all of the health/mana/stamina bar as the bottom of the screen and sides where cut off, I googled for a fix and then set my xbox to widescreen and it worked, I could now see the health bar more clearly and I thought it was happy days, I went into my menu and to items to check my gold amount and realised it was cut off at the bottom, if you know of any way I can fix this or another way for me to check my gold amount I would appreciate it, apperently most games have a layout section in their menu (so my friends say) to fix the screen but I couldnt find it here in skyrim ;}~

What type of tv are you using? If it's a widescreen t.v. can you change the settings on it? Usually they have different options and it sounds to me like you have it set on zoom or something if that's the case.

It does it for my SDTV in my room. But when I play Skyrim upstairs on our big Bravia TV, I see every bit of menu crystal clear. I guess you'll have to do what I'll do eventually, buy HDTV. :/ Don't know where I'm gunna find the money for that!
