I just got my copy of skyrim today and updated it with the 1.1 patch and everything but everytime i start a new game a random nord like character is generated and immediately killed then sends me back to the startup screen, i do not understand why it is doing this and is anyone else having this problem!? and if so is there anyway to fix it!?

can anyone offer some feedback on this!?!? or explain to me whats wrong because i feel this is a serious issue since i cant even start the game and im starting to feel like i waited a longgg time for nothing

Because that makes absolutely no sense.

game starts up, i click new game, random character appears then dies and collapses immediately, then sends me back to the new game, load, and credits screen everytime i click new game it does this thus not allowing me to even start playing the game....

Try uninstalling the game (go the game data utility on your PS3 and delete Skyrim) and the patch, then try playing (automatically reinstalls).

If that fails, maybe try re-installing without the patch..

i installed it without the patch the first time, so maybe thats why i had this problem? idk but im trying as we speak

I'm still playing "unpatched." I'm using a mobile modem on my PC, so needless to say, my PS3 isn't online.

Yeah, try it every way you can, because it's obviously not working as is. Post your results for others who might have the same problem.
