I've been dreading rage since it came out in the US, all the issues peeps are having, but I got it anyway.

Just installed it, quick defrag, and it plays almost flawless at a locked 60fps with 4x aa @ 1080p. There is only a small texture pop when spinning round, but only on the edge of view. No flickering, no stutter, no CTD.

This leads me to believe the majority of peoples problems is on their end. I'm using the special rage driver ATI released a couple of days ago.

8gb corsair 1600 vengeance ram
ATI 6870
Forced vsync and triple buffeting with radeon pro.
Looks amazing @ 1080p res. No stutter an constant 60fps.

I'm sorry that people are having problems, but if a fair few aren't it has to be some settings/configuration your rig has. My pc isn't anything special.

Thoughts guys?

What is your Catalyst A.I. setting?

(Disabled, Standard or Advanced?)

Default mate, don't touch any ATI settings except with radeon pro.

A couple of things I could add:

I have a 64mb cache WD 1Tb HDD
Set my ram to Ganged mode in the bios
I did set the process priority to high in radeon pro
Windows 7 premium 64 bit
All my power options are performance
Also have EPU disabled in bios.

Not sure if any of those made a difference.

Same here, haven't had any issues besides the ones you've mentioned. Oh, and the ugly textures. Game runs great on my laptop and desktop. Using Nvidia cards on each. No crashes or any such thing. Quite enjoying the game actually. My only complaint is with the fugly textures in many places.
