the quest is called Season Unending, where you have to convince two factions to have a truce. the leader of the Stormcloacks and one of his men keeps saying the same thing over and over again even though i did everything they asked me to do, pressing the talk x button is no help either, dialogue window wont show up :/ i just want to move on the main story i looked up all over the internet and people are posting the same problem.. is anyone else having this problem or up to this stage? HELLPP >_<

I'm having the same problem, Just decided to do the story now i'm stuck :C... I guess its back to training till random people start showing up in deadric armor -Wanders into traffic-

I have played Skyrim for 20+ hours and this is the only bug that I encountered, and I thought I was lucky to have a bug free game :/

oh well, just gonna have to do the side quests and wait til they fix this,,. hopefully

Not everything is a bug. Make sure you are doing things exactly how they need to be done. Talk to the imperial leader instead of the Stormcloack and perhaps that might help. Go through your quest log and be sure that everything that is necessary to move on is accomplished.

i already convinced the imperials lol. well one thing, before doing the season unending quest i have to join the stormcloacks first when i took the quest from Galmar and after killing the ice wraith i went back to him to finish the quest all he does is say "I don't know how you convinced Ulfrec to talk to the empire, worse than a waste of time if you ask me" over and over again! and if i go to Ulfric to do the Season Unending quest he will ask you to go see Galmar ffffuuuuuuuuuuu--!!!!!!!!!!!
