Let me start by saying I'm loving the game so far! I do, however, have 2 issues. #1: I have about 16 hours into the game and I've had it freeze on me twice to the point the PS button doesn't do anything and you just have to hard reset. Neither time was it during an autosave event. I was just running across the wilderness and it just freezes when new textures are being written. #2: I have all the autosave options checked to save on wait, sleep and door entry/exit. However, it doesn't appear to work at all. When I go to my list of game saves I only have the ones showing that I manually saved. If I die than the game restarts at my last manual save and not an auto save. Whenever I sleep, wait or go through a doorway I get the "Autosaving..." in the upper left but it doesn't work. If it matters I'm using an original PS3 (the big one).

I was getting hard freezes in the game as well. One came at the very BEGINNING! Right where the man got his head chopped off and before the dragon came. I seriously thought I had made a mistake picking this up. It froze again later after rebooting. What I did was "Restore Default Settings." (Don't restore the system....just the settings.) I have not had a hard freeze since. Coincidence? Who knows, but it worked for me. I am playing on a fat ps3. Hope this helps. (LOVE the game by the way.)

I've heard disabling all autosaves, and deleting all of your autosave files, helps. I'm about to do this and find out.
Guess I could post back later with results.

NOPE DOESN'T WORK. I loaded up my manual save, and fell.
