Cant get my game in 1080i?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:02 am

For some reason I cant get the game to run in 1080i, I did both a costume setting and the automatic display settings and it still goes to 720....kinda weird since Uncharted 3 goes to 1080p on its own just fine. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Nothing I know of. I tried several TV's and also tried setting the PS3 to only 1080i and it will not go into that aspect.

Has ANYONE been able to get it to run in 1080i?

I'm not sure if it's possible to have the game shown in 1080i, the back of the box says 720p as i recall, so i guess that's the max resolution for the game. Don't know about uncharted3 but uncharted2 also had a max of 720p. a lot of ps3 games only support 720p for whatever reasons.

i personally prefer to 720p to 1080i anyways because there's not a big difference.

I'm sitting here with the box in my lap,

HD Video Output
480P+720P+1080P

You should probably look on the back of the box yourself.

I'm trying to figure this out myself, because I know that the game was displaying in 1080 when I got it, and then it just stopped. 720 zooms you a lot closer to your character in 3rd person, I can only see him from the waste up, wereas in 1080 I saw almost his entire body in 3rd person and my view wasn't obstructed with my character taking up a quarter of my screen space.

I don't understand what's going on. If I take 720 out of the display resolutions available it will display the game in 480.

The only thing I can think is that Bethesda removed 1080 support to correct some of the lag problems people were experiencing.

I'm really confused and annoyed with this, and would love to know what's going on.

at the back of the case says HD Video Output with 480p-720p-1080i, so therefore it is supported with 1080i.. what i did to gain it is by buying another connector to the tv.. you know with yellow, red, blue, green, white, etc. plugs.. but as for my case i bought the HDMI, and that is pretty much the highest quality connector.. now i am running 1080i.. i hope it helps(it will also help for those that their interface is cut off)

I've tried everything to get mine in 1080i to no avail :( And yes it does say 480p - 720p - 1080i on the back of the box. Then again it also shows 4 pictures with high resolution pixels on the back also. I am guessing Bethesda doesn't like the PS3 much.

OK, well this might explain a lot. My box most definitely says 1080i, however nothing will put it into that mode. Since NO one is running it at 1080i and *some* boxes only say 720p, then my guess is it was a misprint.

Anyone want to buy my case? It's a collector's item misprint! $60!

It is not a misprint. Mine also says 1080i as does my brothers and a friend. I hope they fix this issue along with the lag after the save file grows. ;/
