OK. You've got my attention, Bethesda.

I've strayed from the path for quite a while now. For a long time, I saw nothing to really attract me back into the fold. I actually thought I'd be taking the big sleep like so many before me. (Long live Andel Crodo.)

An MMO?

I'm interested.

Keep talking B boys, I'm listening.

Fallen.

PS
Fortunately, no one else is left to remember my touting the redicilous notion of making TES MMO (maybe 12+ years ago).

Too bad Bethesda isnt making it.

Sorry to spoil your opinion, but Bethesda is just publishing, the game is being developed by first time ZeniMax Online Studios.

It's also another take on the often used Hotkey system, so if you were hoping for an MMO experience with TES gameplay, yer in for a disappointement. It looks like just another tweak to the hotkey formula, rather than anything that pushes the envelope either.

Hmm. Thanks. I'll still be watching for it. All it needs to do right now is be better than Battle Pirates (for me).

The lead Dev is Frior who was key in creating DAOC and several elements of TESO are similar to DAOC so if you ever played and enjoyed DAOC you may like TESO.

Truly, or is this a jab remark? Skyrim isn't the greatest on earth, but how does a concept with a few screenshot already equate to "infinitely better" than a released game?

The Elder Scrolls Online!

Anything after Skyrim (the lockup Scrolls) for the PS3 would have to be infenitly better!!!!! Almost a year later and they still cant stop the lockups and other issues - I would buy the X-Box version except I dont want to give them the additional funds. I do like the game but you would think with the same play

Anyone with a copy for the PS3 should get a free cpoy or 6 moths free for online!

I think we must assume they hate single player games and love MMOs.

I've tried twice in the last few days to get 'The Main Event' to explain his/her opinions but they never seem to want to elaborate apart from the clear bias towards mmo's and how the TES series is stale and stagnant and needs change and how this game will be awesome. The Main Event if you are reading please;

-How is the Elder Scrolls series stagnant in your mind?
-In your opinion how will this game be better than Skyrim?
-What is the exact change you refer to?

This will be infinitely better than Skyrim.

I agree, but I'll say why I feel this way:
-Skyrim combat was.. boring. Swing, back step, swing, back step, swing, back step. -or- fireball, fireball, fireball, fireball, fireball
-Skyrim had a terrible, terrible UI
-Skyrim was short and easy
-Skyrim had some horrible balanced skills/crafts - was way too easy to become godlike with the right build.
-Skyrims monsters and dungeons were pretty much all the same.

I could go on, but let me say some nice things: Skyrim had a pretty world when viewed from a distance, and Skyrim had some awesome lore. Also, the whole dragon shout thing was just cool.

Now, why will this be better? These are my assumptions based on Firor's prior work and the GI article:
-The combat will be more intense and require thought.
-The world will be much larger.
-There will be a lot more content and varied enemy types.
-There will be interaction with other players and friends.
-There will be PVP - and the chance to conquor the Imperial city.
-There will be an active dev team working to balance the classes and skills and add new content on a regular basis.
-There will be a player driven economy and crafting.

There's more.. but it's enough :)
