Not playing the game until frame rate and lag issues are fix

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:36 pm

This game is simply amazing I think we all agree.

Which is exactly why I am not going to play anymore until I can experience the game the way it was meant to be experienced.

This is actually a little painful. the game's staring at me now but I have to resist the urge to play it

Please Bethesda, I don't care if the game looks worse than Morrowind. Just make it playable asap!

Edit: I know there's already been word on future patches but I want to know that THIS problem is being addressed.

You're to forgiving :cryvaultboy:

I'm not returning my copy yet though. I'm skeptical, but am holding out in hope they will fix the problem. GS owes me at lease $30 if I trade the game in sometime in January. They promised us that before knowing the problems this game would have.

I think you're forgetting just how little power the consoles have. Skyrim has good graphics for a console game. Slowdowns, stuttering, etc. are to be expected.

Then give me the option to give it PS1 graphics if you have to, but serious frame rate drops and nearly constant skips wherever I go is in no way at all worth good graphics.

A video game should play smooth first and foremost, graphics are secondary.

So if we're going on graphics alone then Uncharted should have been a disaster.

Either way I haven't been able to pick up my copy yet as I'm out of town but when I do I'll likely put it on the shelf and wait a few weeks.

Fully agree! I would drop these ps3 graphics to boost up gameplay. Im not a guy whos into graphics I have just as much fun playing zelda and the minish cap on my old game boy SP (I think its called SP? The one that looks like a mini laptop) then I do playing something like call of duty. Graphics dont make me have more fun, but for some people it does. If they ever gave me the option for controlling the graphics I would totally forgive them for bugging out a quest I REALLY want to do.

My game is fine now and i've been playing for over 40 hours.

Still something that happens every once in a while... and i think bethesda is already aware of this problem.

No, I'm pretty sure this problem is a result of something not inherent to hardware. The game ran beautifully, initially, but coincidentally, as time goes on and saved data files swell, the PS3's hardware just mysteriously gets worse? I doubt it.

Uncharted isn't as MASSIVE as Skyrim though.
