Mod request - 2D Map

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:05 am

I much prefer the way the map looked in Oblivion, the 3D map in Skyrim just looks too cluttered. Not to mention that a 2D map with the scroll-type font would fit into the game alot more.

I'd like a 2-D Oblivion-like map as well. The 3-D is nice and all but not my preference.

The 3D map is kind of cool, but I think it makes the world look smaller. I just want a 2D map that tells me where I am, and where the cities and roads are at.

I want the 3D map with some faint outlines for roads.

I've only taken a slight glance at the map files, but this is probably doable. I'd wait for the editor, I'm curious to see how it handles terrain/building added by modders, or if it's done/assisted by hand.

Would love a old-school paper/2D map
The 3D map just isnt realistic, and too foggy.

I think it would actually be great to keep the 3D aspect, but have it look like paper. A paper map that gives you a layout of the terrain with inked details along with drawn out roads and cities. You're basically removing the clouds, retexturing and doing minor changes to the model.

Anyway to disable the weather on the map, then I think it would be a great map?

Edit: Answered my own question.
