Oh! Oh! Get accurate album art for ALL of your music!

That was my project a few months back. Took two weeks before I finally finished tracking everything down.
I already get album art for EVERYTHING! If the soundtrack came from a DVD I use the DVD cover. The only problem I have is my OCDness with album covers, they must be divisible by 5 on each dimension. 702 x 584 pixels would be unacceptable. I'd try to shrink it down to get everything nice and even. If I couldn't find a some nice even dimensions at a reasonable size I'd crop it.

I also have all my music ReplayGained. I should fix my genre tags though. I only use 1 genre tag per album.

Oh and I don't use the album artist or composer tags or things like that, just the artist tag, which makes things a bit tricky sometimes. But if I decide to start using them then I'd need to go redo my entire collection. Maybe one of these days though I image it would take years.

It's tough, keeping that much pr0n in order.

Actually only about 3.9% of the 64,483 already sorted pictures is verified pr0n.

The rest is just Anime. :P

Do you plan on drilling a hole in them and put a piece of wood through the stack for extra support?

I have considered it. My stepdad's a carpenter so I should be able to wrangle the tools to do it. The good thing is for the most part the books cost a couple of pence from charity shops so if I fail the first time it's no biggie.

Well I've been working on two things I guess and those are building my gaming collection and trying to get my gaming articles noticed.

I did that a few years back, because I was getting tired of compilation albums being hard to manage in Winamp, and it took ages... http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ is a life saver.

Everything is organized pretty well for me actually, I have it all organized by my Windows folder structure. The tags I currently have are useable just not technically perfect. It's not the tagging that's the problem, foobar can already batch tag music, it's the gathering and processing of information. Over 13,000 tracks in my music library, looking up info on each album would kill me. And I'd have to hope I could even find the right info for it all...

[censored] my organizing OCD. It's eating away at me. :/

But surely "Album artist" is, 90% of the time, the same as "Artist"? And the exceptions will take a while to sort, but not forever :P

Yes but if I use album artist then that means for remixes and whatnot I'd have to go back and put the remixer as the artist for that track. So I'd have to look through every album for any remixed tracks and find the artist. The same for any tracks that feature some other artist. What to put as the album artist isn't always apparent either, like for split albums. But my real concern is the composer tag. That would take ages. I could decide to only do that for classical music and/or soundtracks.

Such hard decisions. /1stworldproblems

My brain is not normal. I deleted my picture collection several times because I didn't like how it was organized and it would be easier to fix just by starting over.
