My vision of a real TES MMO

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 9:28 am

It would be more of a copy of Ultima Online with the more open sandbox gameplay and skill system. And it would be first person in viewpoint with a combat system which is more flexible than the standard MMO combat system.

Graphically it would be nearly as cutting edge as Skyrim. This would force people to upgrade but it would set the game apart and give it long lasting appeal

Never happen but that is the game I would like

My vision is third person and hotbars, but that's just me.

Ahhh, I see what you're doing there.

You're trying to make the devs take notice that their current choices have support and that they will continue on this current route.
This will ensure that the game will be a complete and total failure and the whole company will go belly up.

Nice plan, although I think not everyone might be on to that and you could potentially get some very angry replies.

My vision of a tes mmo is a tes copy with multiplayer and huge f*cking wars going on, focusing only on the pvp experience, with some common tes creatures thrown into the wilderness.

After all, it bears the elder scrolls title...

So... instead of a "WoW clone" you want an "Ultima Online clone."

Yay for zero originality.

I partly agree, i would like a cross between Darkfall and Vanguard, with TES world, lore and laws.

Completely agree - especially with Vanguard.

Darkfall has the classless, dynamic skills and Vanguard has:

* Huge, open world with multiple continents and several forms of travel.
* First or third person perspective choices.
* Realistic graphics in both colors and scale.
* Dynamic, complex, inter-connected player factions (and diplomacy).
* Player made housing. Persistent, non-instanced and an ongoing part of the world.
* Player made boats and ships.
* Vast majority of non-instanced dungeons.
* Raid mobs with lockout timers, rather than being instanced.
* Customizable, detailed and unique character appearance (even more so than Oblivion and Skyrim).
* Character names policed to exclude the "wtfbbq" names.

I think a combination of Vanguard and Darkfall would suit an Elder Scrolls game. I really cannot see stuck in third person perspective with colorful graphics and oversized weapons as 'Elder Scrolls'.
