I think I remember hearing that you have PvP fights in Cyrodiil but only the winning faction may fight in the IC and it's PvE of some sort. I could be remembering wrong though.

I do believe they mentioned arena fighting in the article though. Of course there are probably other arenas besides the one in the Imperial City, where it would be difficult to compete in considering the war.

Cyrodiil will have the large scale 100vs100 Open PvP (Simmilar to WvW in GW 2 just not WvW) but they also stated there will be "competetive PvP" i assume thats something along the lines of battlegrounds.

Mmhm, I can't remember the wording, but it's all but confirmed that we'll have instanced PvP in the game as well. Can't say I mind, though I hope to see more than your standard TDM, and CTF modes, make an apperance.

I wasn't aware having PvP Arena fights in the Imperial city was something Skyrim was trying to do.

I hope If there's one, I won't be fighting always against people who spend more time looking up strategy guides, counting the DPS of every form of attack, than playing and getting the most OP weaponry and armour in the game.

Why? Either of those methods should do a fairly good job of making them formidable opponents. Why is the second one preferable?
