Has anyone else seen a dragon dive bombcrash landing?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:30 pm

This happened to me yesterday and I've never seen it on the forums before, I was fighting a dragon that was guarding one of the many outside wordwalls and at one point during the fight he flew away a bit and came back roughly at a sharp downward angle, tucked his wings and slammed into the ground in front of me he plowed through the earth leaving large mounds of dirt on either side in a trail behind him and slammed his head right into the word wall, which visibly disoriented him. The dirt effect faded away after a few seconds but this was utterly amazing.

Has anyone else seen this?

Has happened once to me before.

I also once used the shout Ethereal to jump off a mountain and survive - except I landed right next to a sleeping dragon at a Wall, which I didn't know was there. It was still asleep, so I stood there for a minute for shout regen, then shouted fire at it and killed it in its sleep.

Had a really epic one today where he crashed right in front of me and stopped at my feet, too bad I don't have a capture card.

Haha, yeah. I was fighting a dragon that was trying to fly around a lot more than usual, and it had like 5-10% HP left. Then it flew up and around ... after several seconds it arced back around towards me. I thought it was going to blow a load of fire at me from above, but it somehow died up in the high altitudes and just slammed into the ground, dead.

I lol'd.

I shot the dragon in the air while it was flying above me with an arrow. It wobbled in the air sort of, then came crashing down. Pretty epic I'd say.

I saw it once. It tore up an entire ruin in the process, making the whole area one big eyesore =/

I'm sure if I was in the middle of some plains it would have looked fine, but it was odd for the grey stone walkways to get torn up into brown dirt, especially when the mountains must have had a few layers of permafrost.

I was fighting a Frost Dragon today and got in quite a few wounds on it, but it took off and tried to fly away. It still had about half its life, but its flying was erratic, like it was struggling to stay aloft. It then banked hard and I thought it was going to strafe me with its ice breath, but it crashed into the ground and slid, throwing up dust into the air before smashing head first into a large rock. It tried staggering up, but a couple more attacks put it down.

It happens when you weaken the dragon in the air... it has to fall down.. It's not rare at all.
