Static glitch

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 12:10 pm

For some reason whenever I start up the game I get some horrible static dominating the game audio. I have taken numerous approaches to remedy this and I'm currently re-installing the game. Has anyone had this happen and did they find a fix?

It first started when the Dragon attacks right at the beginning after character creation.

Any information would be useful.

Thanks

I also have this, it's a bit less though I think. Some words are made inaudible because of static, fireplaces sound generally horrible.

This was posted in a fix thread.

How do I fix some sound issues, such as hearing static during NPC dialogue?

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
2. In the Playback tab, right click on Speakers (or whatever has a green tick next to it), then click Properties
3. In the advanced tab on this new window, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) in the drop down menu

Once I have re-installed the game I will let you know if it works.
