Eyefinity thread

So for a game where the devs specifically said they didn't design it for eyefinity in mind, it sure works damn nice. The menus all scale properly, the HUD is out of the way on the ends and not stretched. And the FOV is fantastic, no .ini tweaks necessary or (ugh) hex editing.

I've noticed no difference in performance between 1 screen or 3. I'm running with a single Radeon HD 5870

The only anomaly I've seen so far is the model for the players hands and weapon seem to be stretched horizontally, quite an odd bug, one i've never seen before. It's always been hud elements or menus, never actual 3d models that stretch. Regardless, it is still perfectly playable. Id' be nice if they fixed the weapon stretch in a patch though. We'll see if they bother with the 1% of us with a multi-mon setup.

I run 2D surround but I agree, I was also surprised at how well the game adapted to 3 monitors. Now only if all the other issues weren't present. At first launch though it automatically set my res' at 5760X1080, normally I have to set that. As you said the FoV is quite nice and smooth, I also notice the slight stretching of weapons but it isn't really that bad to me.

HaYDeN has found out a way to fix (centralized) the GUI at multi-monitor resolutions in RAGE, please don't miss the game's http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/rage/en at WSGF - widescreen gaming forum, for all information, under Multi-Monitor Specific Solution.

@Advoc : Add +cvaradd hands_fovscale 1 to steam launch options or cvaradd hands_fovscale 1 in your rageConfig file to fix the stretched weapon and hands.
